Departure from Sin-Perth.. Arrival at Perth

Most of the pupils arrived at the Singapore Changi Airport at about 10 pm. Some of the pupils came as early as 9.15 pm . We were very excited and chatted with our friends. We checked in our luggage and took a group picture before going into the Departure Hall. Most of my friends' parents were still waving to each other as they couldn't bear to leave each other, even if it was for a few days. 

Once we entered the departure hall, we had quite a bit of time before the boarding time of 12.15a.m. so we sat in a corner to read the information in our trip folder. We also took the time to take group pictures and play some games. 

The boarding time was postponed to 12.35a.m. so we waited some more and the teachers briefed the pupils about the programme for the following day. Finally, after we entered the boarding gate, we boarded the plane close to 12.45a.m. The plane took off on time at 1.15a.m. and we landed in Perth half an hour before the landing time, at 5.50a.m. Then we headed to McDonald's for our breakfast.

Day 1 at Orchard Glory Farm

After a 2 hour drive from City of South Perth Civic centre, we finally reached Orchard Glory Farm. We were so engrossed to see our chalets as it was our first time sharing a room with our buddies. I am sharing the chalet with another 6 girls. After we received the keys from Mr Tan, we put our luggage in the chalet quickly and met Farmer Keith for "feed the animals" session. We fed horses, sheep, goats and Al Pacas. This was my first time feeding these animals. Like most pupils, I was very afraid to feed the animals at the beginning as I thought the animals were going to bite me. Soon most of the pupils got over the fear of feeding animals  and  were very excited. We took turns to feed the animals. Hopefully we did not overfeed the animals. Farmer Keith then told us the process of making wine and showed us how to bottle wines. In our groups, we managed to bottle one each.

It was an exciting afternoon at Orchard Glory farm! I am definitely looking forward to the activities tomorrow.
