Shopping @ Garden City - By Ruby Lee

Garden City Shopping mall was the last stop of our trip.  We were each given AUD10 to have our lunch. We reached Garden City at 10.45am and most of the shops were not opened as it was a public holiday (Western Australia Day). Many shops only opened at 11.30am.

My buddy and I decided to have Macdonalds for lunch since most of the cafes or eateries were not opened. After lunch, we walked around the shopping mall. This shopping mall is huge though it is located in the suburbs. There are many shops such as KMart, Myers, David Jones, Coles, Woolworth etc. However, my buddy and I did not buy much as most of our shopping was done at Fremantle.

I felt excited and happy as I was going back to Singapore and I missed my family. However, I would miss Perth, especially its wonderfully cold weather and the beautiful scenery. This was definitely a memorable trip and I would miss my room mates. I am thankful to be selected for this trip and it was certainly an eye opener for me travelling with my friends for the first time.
