Marsupials

Marsupials are mammals who live in the Southern Hemisphere.
Examples of marsupials are kangaroos, koala, possums, opossums, wombats and the tasmanian devil. An infant marsupial is known as a joey.
Marsupials have a very short gestation period, which is about four to five weeks.
The blind, furless, miniature newborn is the size of a jelly bean.
Their young are carried in a pouch.
